Two years into their existence, Austrian electro-rock outfit Lunaffair are releasing their debut album in cooperation with German label Timezone-Records.
One year after their formation Lunaffair decided to record their first demo in spring 2009. Thanks to the technical means available these days, it was possible to record almost the entire album, with the exception of the drums, in a home studio. However mixing and mastering was left to a professional studio to apply the final touches. When the resulting material turned out to be »too good« for a regular demo, German indie-label Timezone-Records stepped in, who is now releasing the album.
Together with the album the official video to their song »Fever« is being released. The video was produced by Austrian production company Sonuva, who has also worked on videos for bands like »3 feet smaller«, »She says«, »Julia« and »Guadalajara«
Austrian music television station gotv immediately included the video in its rotation and also aired a feature on the band in August 2010.
Two Austrian independent film producers became aware of the band and subsequently used two of their songs in clips featuring extreme sports. Thus a demo version of the song »Fever« can already be found on the soundtrack to freeride film »Made in Austria«, where 9 of Austria’s best freeriders demonstrate their skills. The extreme sport film »Get Naturized« features the song »Violence« in the trailer. Lunaffair can also look back on successful live shows, both at home and abroad. They have already been booked for shows with acts such as Filter, The Cruxshadows or Ray Wilson (ex Genesis, Stiltskin)
